Welcome to Serenity Rows!

Hello, and thank you for stopping by Serenity Rows! I am so excited to share this next chapter of my life with all of you. Before I get much further though, allow me to introduce myself!

Who am I?

Hi, I am Susan! I am a mother, farm wife, and lover of all things gardening, crafting, and traveling. I have two sweet daughters that are 16 and 21, in addition to two crazy puppies that are constantly finding something new to chew or get into. During the day, I work as an Office Manager for a local construction company, while also fulfilling my civic duty as Chair of our community's School Board. My husband of 24 years and I manage a corn, soybean, and canning crop farm of 1,100 acres along with raising cattle, hogs, and the occasional chickens. Our farm is in southern Minnesota, and despite the record-breaking snowfalls and sub-zero temperatures each winter, I couldn't imagine living anywhere else.

We loved our recent family vacation to Banff, Canada. Stay tuned for a blog post sharing all of our favorite memories from the trip!

Why Serenity Rows?

I have always dreamed of sharing my passion for crafting, traveling, and midwestern farm life. Managing a farm for 24 years means that I have been through almost everything... the good, the bad, and the ugly. My life is not perfect, and I intend to share every messy bit with all of you. Hopefully you can learn from my mistakes, be encouraged by my tips, and pursue a life of peace and joy right alongside me.

For those of you asking, the "Rows" in Serenity Rows is representative of a variety of rows. From the rows of the field corn standing outside my kitchen window, to the rows that I weave together in each project, I am constantly surrounded by rows. I hope that you join me as I cultivate rows of peace, joy, and serenity in my garden, on my farm, and through my crafting projects!
