Fall's Hottest Velvet Scrunchies to Style with Any Outfit

Happy Fall, all! While most people are celebrating the change in temperature with pumpkin-spice lattes, cozy sweaters, and Friday-night football, I have been crocheting up a storm to bring you all stylish scrunchies that you can use to style with your new fall outfits.

Both of my daughters absolutely love scrunchies, and to be honest, I do too! It reminds me of my high school days in the '80s. Based on this current revival of 80s fashion, I'm predicting stirrup pants and shoulder-pad blouses will be in Vogue's next issue. Or so I can hope...

Beyond the fashion of scrunchies is that they are both practical and comfortable! My daughter tells me that the "cool" thing to do is wear one on your wrist to match your outfit. I'm still getting used to that trend, but it definitely elevates your outfit to the next level, and then when your hair is bothering you, it's an easy up-do that's stylish and convenient!

I'm also realizing that another major perk of scrunchies is their versatility. My youngest daughter loves to wear scrunchies during her tennis matches or dance practices, while my oldest daughter styles her hair with a scrunchie to go work at a finance firm on Wall Street. From the streets of New York to the fields of southern Minnesota, scrunchies are a universal hair piece that anyone can pull off!

With the change in seasons and crafting of my newest project comes the most exciting news of the day: my Etsy shop has officially launched! The learning curve on "all the things" is real, and although it has been a slow process, this Mom has learned a lot of new tricks over the last few weeks! I am selling scrunchies in a variety of colors, and I even designed two-tone scrunchies for those of you that really like to step out of the box. One of my inspirations for the scrunchies was our school's Homecoming celebration. Growing up in a small town means that school celebrations are taken very seriously. Homecoming brings in alumni from all over, and the attendance at Friday night's big football game is off-the-charts. Our school celebrates all week with a parade, Homecoming court coronation, and sporting events every night. The school pride is exhilarating, and it provided me with the perfect opportunity to design a maroon and gold (our school colors) scrunchie to help our town celebrate!
